About the event
Come along to Hanningfield to take part in a celebration of the story and characters from the classic book ‘The Wind in the Willows’ by Kenneth Grahame.
• Take our Wind in the Willows themed trail, do the brass rubbings, and meet the fantastic characters Toad, Mole, Ratty, Badger and Weasel in person, who will be coming to life for one day only!
• Watch performances of songs by the main characters from a new production of the family musical, 'The Adventures of Mr Toad', which opens at the Palace Theatre, Southend-on-Sea on 17 October 2024.
• Sit and listen to extracts of the story of The Wind in the Willows, read by our storytellers in the Visitor Centre.
This is a free event and there is no need to book.
