About the event

A beginners guide to birdwatching with binoculars, including two walks around the reserve as well as a theory session.

There will be a quick informal intro, before we head straight out on the reserve to go bird watching! A skilled staff member and volunteer will point out all the birds by sight or sound that are encountered during the day.

After a few hours birdwatching, head back to the centre for a theory session, before we head out one last time after lunch. Please note this event will include walking up to four miles around the Nature Reserve and you will need to provide your own lunch, although it can be purchased in the centre cafe.

By the end of the course we hope you will have learnt how to use your binoculars and recognise common birds found at Hanningfield.
