Our volunteers are important
In 1959, Essex Wildlife Trust was founded by volunteers. Without volunteers, our organisation wouldn't be where it is today.
Almost 40% of the hours worked at the Trust are completed by volunteers, and we are grateful for every single one of you. Whether you volunteer out on a reserve, in one of our centres or from home, we couldn't do it without you.
Watch the video below to hear from Rosie Abbott, Volunteer Development Manager and Andrew Impey, our Chief Executive, as they tell us in their words, why volunteers are the beating heart of the Trust.
