About the event
We'll head off on a guided walk to see what flora and fauna can be spotted in the park, before heading to our Forest School area to practice our bushcraft skills. There will be den building, wood whittling, and fire lighting before toasting a snack around the fire. (Please note that the fire-based activities are weather-dependent and will be substituted for alternative activities if need be.) This is a 2-hour drop-off session for older aged children so is only suitable for those aged 8+. Please come dressed for the weather as we will be outside for the whole session.
Please ensure your child has been signed in by a member of the Wilder Learning Team at the Nature Discovery Centre. They will need to bring snacks and a drink with them. There will be access to toilet facilities if required.
