Local author James Henry sets his popular crime fiction in the Essex countryside – and is constantly inspired by our local landscapes and nature. A keen birdwatcher and regular contributor to BBC Radio 4 Tweet of the Day, join James to hear how he writes the natural world and the Essex countryside into his books – and why birdwatching has a lot in common with detective work! James Henry is the author of four crime novels set in Essex, the most recent of which is The Winter Visitor, as well as the Inspector Frost prequels.
