About the event

The 'Composition and Light' photography workshop builds on the knowledge gained from the 'Know The Basics' workshop (or maybe you're already comfortable with how your camera works) to concentrate on composition, lighting, colour, and creativity.

This one-day photography course will get you looking at your subjects in a whole new light, considering how best to compose, what to include, what to exclude, and which focal length will give the results you want.

What you need to bring: 

• A camera!   This is mainly aimed at digital cameras of all types, but even if you use film, you will gain extra knowledge about your camera.
• A Tripod if you have one.  Don't worry if you don't.
• Memory Cards/Spare Batteries.  We'll be trying many different techniques and it would be a shame to feel limited by the number of exposures you could take, so make sure there's plenty of space on memory cards. Ensure any batteries are fully charged!
• Any lenses/accessories you may have. You never know when you might need them. Footwear and Clothing suitable for a walk in the reserve.  Including wet weather gear (hopefully not required).

• Lunch.  Lunch is not included in the cost of the day – there is a cafe on site so please remember to bring money or something with you to eat.
