About the event

It’s national nest box week and the perfect time to think about all things bird! There will be plenty to do, including a natural craft to take home with you, toasting a snack on the fire (weather permitting), and you can complete our bird-based trail around the reserve. Why not bring some binoculars and do some bird watching while you’re here? We will also be making wooden bird boxes for you to take home. We will provide all the materials and instructions – you provide the manpower to make it. 

Tickets need to be purchased in advance – all children attending MUST have a child ticket. You can then purchase as many bird box kits as you would like to make on the day (e.g. if you would like to bring 3 children but only make 1 bird box, you must purchase 3 child tickets and 1 bird box ticket). Please arrive to make a bird box during the hour specified on your ticket – all other activities can be carried out any time between 10:30 am-3pm.

Children must be accompanied by an adult, all activities take place outside so please dress accordingly.
