About the event

Come on an adventure to the beach, and on our way, we will investigate by using our senses, before spending an hour of fun and free play down on the sand. There'll be lots of different tools and toys to enjoy as the children explore the beach. Grab some binoculars and look out to the horizon, swoop a net through the water to see who lives there, enjoy the wind with giant bubbles and kites, build a shelter, water play, and of course digging! Child-led play time in a sensory-rich beach environment with a member of our wilder learning team.

We'll meet inside the Naze Nature Discovery Centre before walking down to the beach together. Children remain your responsibility and must be supervised by an adult at all times. Please note the beach is a short walk away but includes steep stairs and a steep gravel slope, so is unsuitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. The car park is managed by Tendring District Council and parking charges apply. No dogs at our events, please.
