Join Essex Wildlife Trust to celebrate the official opening of Langdon Nature Discovery Park’s new sustainable centre. Activities include making seed bombs, guided walks and tours of the site, bug hunting in the meadows, wildlife gardening advice, and the grand opening at 10am on Saturday.

10am-1pm: Explore the Community Garden
Meet the team of Volunteers who care for this beautiful garden and discover the hidden treasures that it has to offer.
10am-4.30pm: Seed Bomb Making
Make a seed bomb for your garden filled with native wildflowers and help us build much needed wildflower networks across Essex. Suitable for all ages.
10am-5pm: The Peter Rabbit Woodland Trail
An exciting nature trail consisting of wooden sculptures of the most popular Beatrix Potter characters including Jemima Puddle Duck, Jeremy Fisher and Peter Rabbit himself. Maps are available to purchase from the centre.
10am-5pm (intermittent): Meet Billie the Badger!
Meet Essex Wildlife Trust's beloved mascot, Badger Billie.
11am: Tour of the new building
Join us on an exclusive tour of our new sustainable centre.
11am-12pm: Explore the Haven Garden

Try your hand at searching for all the creepy critters in our meadow using sweep nets and bug pots. Suitable for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
