Essex Wildlife Trust is a charity (not-for-profit), therefore we rely on the generosity of members and supporters to fund the vast majority of our work.
We are fortunate to have 40,000 members from every corner of Essex and beyond, directly supporting their local environment through monthly and annual subscriptions.
Income from membership, donations, Gift Aid, corporate partners, Trusts, Foundations and other funding bodies, our lottery, Local Groups, events, community fundraising, gifts in Wills and or Nature Discovery Centres enables us to care for the wildlife and habitats of Essex.

Essex Wildlife Trust Sales Ltd was incorporates as a subsidiary company in 1990, in order to support and raise funds for the Trust, through retail operations and visitor centre sales. All profits from Essex Wildlife Trust Sales Ltd are returned to Essex Wildlife Trust, to support the charitable aims.
We are registered with the Fundraising Regulator and follow the Institute of Fundraising’s Code of Practice. We adhere to best practice, honesty, transparency and accountability in all fundraising activity.
