Nurture nature forever with a gift in your Will
When you leave a gift in your Will to Essex Wildlife Trust, you’ll be ensuring your love of nature lives on for future generations.
Your gift, no matter what the size, will enable us to restore nature across our beautiful county and inspire one in four people to take action for wildlife.
As a charity, we rely on gifts in Wills to continue our work tackling environmental challenges in Essex, where we feel the pressures acutely.
Over the last 60 years, thanks to our amazing supporters, we have transformed former landfill sites into havens for wildlife, restored saltmarshes to protect our coastline and brought back the nightingale from the brink of extinction.
We have created wilder communities across the county and ensured the next generation value, understand and protect our wild places.

What difference a Gift in your Will makes
By giving us a gift in your Will, you will be helping us to manage and protect over 8,400 acres of land in the county, giving people free access to the wonders of nature. Essex Wildlife Trust is built on the generous gifts people have left in their Wills and they are vital for our continued financial sustainability. Thanks to a generous legacy from Joan Elliot, we were able to purchase our headquarters site at Abbotts Hall in Great Wigborough, which is now the focus of a nationally-acclaimed 300-acre coastal habitat project.

“We decided to include a gift in our Will to Essex Wildlife Trust so that their great work carries on benefitting the next generation, as we want to give our children – and their children’s children – something to have and love for the future.”
