About the event
Calling all budding scientists, geographers, geologers, and other curious minds! Explore and discover our fascinating coast as we adventure along the strandline, where the land meets the sea on the hunt for coastal treasures. We will then return to our education room come-science lab to use microscopes and simple experiments to explore and discover more about rocks, fossils, and shells from our shoreline and the adaptations of the plants and creatures that live here.
Please come dressed for the winter weather as we'll begin with a walk to the beach, so warm coats and boots are recommended. The second part of the session will be based inside our education room come-science lab. The session is most suited to children aged 6 and up. Children remain your responsibility and must always be supervised by an adult. The car park is managed by Tendring District Council and parking charges apply. No dogs at our events please.
