We are looking for a Weekend Centre Assistant to join us at our picturesque Nature Discovery Park at Fingringhoe Wick, near Colchester.

Our friendly and passionate team at Fingringhoe Wick Nature Discovery Park provide fantastic customer service to our visitors to the Trust. Situated on the picturesque views overlooking the Colne Estuary, our Fingringhoe Wick site is Essex Wildlife Trust’s first visitor centre and nature reserve, which a wildlife haven of over 200 acres hosting up to 200 species of birds, 27 species of dragonflies and damselflies, 24 species of butterfly, 350 species of flowering plants, as well as Adders, Badgers and many other animals.

The Nature Discovery Centre offers an opportunity to discover the wildlife within the park whilst enjoying refreshments and a gift shop, run by a friendly team and wonderful volunteers who are passionate about providing fantastic customer service.

 

The post holder will need to be a team player who can interact with our visitors in a friendly and engaging way, ensuring excellent customer service always at the forefront. Working predominately within the café, the post holder will be taking orders, preparing and serving hot and cold food and beverage orders and clearing tables. We are looking for a friendly individual with an interest in catering, nature and wildlife in this visitor engagement role. Profits from the Nature Discovery Centre’s are used to fund the conservation, educational and other key work of the Trust.
 
The is a six-month fixed term position working 7.5 hours per week working every other weekend on both the Saturday and Sunday with a starting salary is £4,461.60 per annum (FTE £22,308).  For further information about our Fingringhoe Wick site, please visit essexwt.org.uk/nature-reserves/fingringhoe.
