Vote for Nature

4 July 2024

The Prime Minister has announced that the UK will hold a General Election on 4 July 2024 and it's crucial that nature's voice is heard.

Nature in Essex is in a state of critical decline and the time to act is now. Find out all you need to know about Essex Wildlife Trust’s priorities and how you can vote with nature in mind, below.

What we're calling for

To secure a future for Essex where both people and nature can thrive, we’re calling on all political parties to:

1. Bring back the UK's lost wildlife.

2. End river pollution and water scarcity.

3. Fund wildlife-friendly farming.

4. Enable healthy communities.

5. Tackle the climate emergency.
